Website
1. Why is some of the text on pages very large/small?
You may need to adjust your browser settings, Go to View, scroll down to Text size and then select Medium which is the optimum size for viewing most web sites.

2. Why does the e-mail service end with .Net yet the site is .Com?
We wanted to set up a free e-mail service and specifically chose the .Net domain for this purpose as we already use the .com domain for branch officials e-mail. You can still access the web site using www.lasunison.net but you start on a different page.

3. I can't open some of the documents?
Most documents on this web site require you to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your machine to read the file. This is a common system used on most sites and is available as a free download from the Adobe Web Site. It is installed on all the service computers.

4. I clicked on a link and got an error 'page can not be found' message
This may be because the page has been moved but your computer has cached the old page. Try pressing the 'Refresh' button on your browser. The button is usually located at the top of your browser in between the forward and back buttons and the Home page button. You can also press the F5 key on your keyboard.

5. Why can't I log in to my hotmail account on your site?
I presume you are trying to log in using the e-mail login box on the home page and other pages. This is for our own e-mail service only and will not work for any other account, in the same way you cannot login to a Yahoo account at Hotmail! This login box is for our @lasunison.net e-mail service.

Union Issues
1. How do I Join?
Either speak to your station rep or download a form from this site and send it to Eric Roberts, UNISON, Waterloo HQ.

2. I and others on my station do not receive mailings or ballots from unison?
This is probably because the details we have for you are out of date, There is a common misconception that if you inform the service of your change of address they then tell us, They DON'T!
If you have moved station, moved home, changed your name then you must tell us.
